I bought this because we are Star Wars and Legos fans, although we are not big console gamers - mostly our Wii has been used for the Wii Fit.
I was astonished to discover that my husband, who is an avid PC gamer and has always refused to play console games, really loves this game. Our 5-year-old daughter also loves it, mostly to watch her dad (she does play, but finds it a little frustrating as she's not quite ready for the kind of coordinated actions you need to be able to do to play most games).
It's challenging in parts, but not too challenging, for our level of gaming. For experienced console gamers, it might be a little too easy.
I also really like the funny bits and pieces the developers popped in - the disco parties in a few places, Darth Vader coughing and choking on the exhaust from the space ship landing, etc.
The only problem I have with it is very minor - the perspective is not great in a few places, so when you try to jump over to a ledge or something, it's very easy to misjudge and just jump off the cliff. Not insurmountable with practice, but a bit annoying.

In this game you get to play through many levels through all 6 movie episodes of the SW saga in Lego form. It may seem like a childish idea but this game is definitely for all ages mainly SW fanatics.
What i like about these Lego SW games combined in one is that you can change into different playable characters from Anakin to Luke to all the way to Wicket The Ewok as you blast and slice many enemies to collect bricks mainly gold which earns you more points. In this game there is no game over when you die, you just get rebuilt. The atmosphere and levels are nicely customizations from the world of Lego as this one combines the first 2 games in one as there/s new gameplay features like new force powers, new levels and characters you can play when your done to replay and of course on-line gaming if you want a friend to join you or if you don't have ethernet just play 2 player with a live friend.
One of the best SW games ever and a must play for all ages.

If you like Lego and Star Wars, you can't go wrong here. Play through episodes I-VI by yourself or with a friend. You can drop in or out of another person's game at any time, which is nice. Fun to play with my 4-year-old. Only issue is the camera tries to keep both characters on screen at once. Patience is required if playing with a younger person that isn't quite as goal-oriented and just wants to explore every nook and cranny and jump around the levels. Parents need not worry, very family friendly with trademark Lego humor and sort of glosses over that whole Anakin-to-Vader transformation.
Also plenty of replay value with bonus levels and extra goals to achieve when revisiting levels with different characters. After completing a level in story mode, you can revisit in free play mode with any characters you've unlocked. Beyond your primary character selection, the make up of the rest of your party seems random. The game also resets you to Jedi Master Qui Gon and Padawan Obi Wan every time you start. Despite the small hiccups, it is a very enjoyable experience overall.
