Ok, back to the topic, there are 10 Skyward Sword Shields, you can learn about each shield and how to upgrade it. Here is the picture Skyward Sword Shield:
Wooden Shield
Once you get the Goddes Sword, but before you leave Skyloft, you can speak with Instructor Owlan and you will get a wooden shield from him. You must speak with him before you buy a shield at the Bazaar!
The Wooden Shield is round, with a white bird claw emblem on it. Unlike in other games, the shield will break should it sustain too much damage, and Link will have to buy another. This can be prevented by bringing it to the Scrap Shop in the Bazaar and repairing it before it breaks. The Wooden Shield can protect Link from electric based attacks but will burn if it comes in contact with fire.
Banded Shield
You can upgrade your Wooden Shield at the Scrap Shop in Skyloft to get the Banded Shield.

Braced Shield
You can upgrade your Banded Shield at the Scrap Shop in Skyloft to get the Braced Shield
Requirements:
Iron Shield
If you want to buy the Iron Shield, you must buy it from the Bazaar in Skyloft. The price is 100 reupees and the shield wouldn't available until you complete the Skyview Temple.
The Iron Shield, also known as the L-2 Shield, is a recurring item in the Legend of Zelda series. The Iron Shield and its upgraded forms, are weak against electric attacks and strong against fire.
Reinforced Shield
You can upgrade your Iron Shield at the Scrap Shop in Skyloft to get the Reinforced Shield.
Requirements:
Fortified Shield
You can upgrade your Reinforced Shield at the Scrap Shop in Skyloft to get the Fortified Shield.
Requirements:
Sacred Shield
If you want to buy the Sacred Shield, you must buy it from the Bazaar in Skyloft. The price is 500 rupees and the shield wouldn't available until you fought The Imprisoned at the Sealed Grounds after catching up with Zelda at the Temple of Time.
The Sacred Shield will protect Link from all forms of attack including fire and electricity but suffers from very low durability. However the shield also has the ability to automatically repair damage done to it.
Divine Shield
You can upgrade your Sacred Shield at the Scrap Shop in Skyloft to get the Divine Shield.
Requirements:

You can upgrade your Divine Shield at the Scrap Schop in Skyloft to get the Goddess Shield.
Requirements:
Hylian Shield
The Hylian Shield is different with the other shields, because it's obtained exclusively through a side quest.
