Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales Honest Reviews

Are you looking for Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales honest reviews? You can find it in here! The Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales reviews in here are written by real users. Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales is inspired by Disney/Pixar’s wildly popular animated shorts of the same name. A follow up last year’s successful Wii release, Toy Story Mania!, Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales is part of the Mania! video game franchise, featuring fast-paced, multiplayer, family fun. The game is a frenzied pick-up-and-play experience to be enjoyed by everyone in the room.

With up to four players at once, Mania! games reward competitiveness and cooperation among players. The game will bring Mater together with Lightning McQueen and the “Cars” gang for a new set of adventures, capturing the endearing sense of humor of everyone’s favorite tow truck. Players will join Mater and his pals as they relive the wild stories he conjures up about hilariously unpredictable events that may or may not have taken place. The voice of everyone’s favorite tow truck, Mater, will be supplied by Daniel Whitney, “Larry the Cable Guy,” who also voices the character in the film and cartoon shorts.

Mater's Tall Tales is a decent game as long as you don't expect very much from it. The games are either very simple or a bit tedious but overall fairly clean and fun.
So weather or not you like this game boils down to the following.
If you have kids that love the cars movie and the disney shorts that the game is based on then they will most likely love the game. If you are any older than the age of 10 you will most likely become bored with the games within the week.
The game is easy enough for my 4 year old and my seven year old to play and even grandma and grandpa who never play game console handled the game like a champ.

This is definitely not the best party game out there, but for the younger kids it does a nice job and is easy enough that they don;t get frustrated.

My family and I love Mater, Cars, and Pixar. We'd read mixed reviews on the Mater's Tall Tales Wii game, and the price seemed a little high ($40), so we weren't sure if we wanted to commit and buy the game. Our local Redbox had it, so we decided to give a whirl. All four of us could play together, but even on our large screen TV, our individual screens could be difficult to see sometimes. Each story, or section (i.e. El Materdor, Mater the Greater, etc.) was made up of mini games. Once each mini game was unlocked, you could go back and play it again any time. Some of the levels were tricky for us, such as the racing. I think if we'd had the manual, it might have made things easier, although manuals these days tend to be sparse on information. The cars were super customizable, which was fun; there were paint jobs, stickers, tires, even hats and sunglasses! We liked about 50% of the mini games - drifting in Tokyo Mater, putting out the fire in Rescue Squad Mater, and rescuing Mator in UFO Mater were our favorites. All in all, it was a pretty fun game, but I wouldn't pay more than $20-$25 for it, and for me, used copies in good/great condition would work as well, but I certainly wouldn't pay $40 for it.

There are some cools things about this game and some not so cool things.

Pros: I like that the mini-games are quick. Unlike the other Cars games where you can drive around and explore for hours (literally), the mini-games keep the action moving forward and on point so, again, my 5-year old does not spend hours in front of the Wii. The DVD clips from the actual Cars Toon videos interspersed throughout the game to move the story forward is also a nice touch. The multiplayer feature is nice. Everyone can join in on ALL the mini-games and not just head-to-head races (like other Cars games).

Cons: Some of the onscreen instructions are hard-to-follow. The menus to navigate to gameplay are not intuitive. Some games are also just plain hard for younger players. Overall, I would say the games are way too easy for anyone older than 6-7 years (anyone older will find the gameplay too easy and may get bored quickly).

In a nutshell, the multiplayer feature makes this fun for the whole family. But older players may tire and get bored with the easy and quick gameplay. Perfect for 4-5 year olds.

After you read Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales honest reviews above, what do you think about this game? Are you interested to buy it?

Pest Control RuneScape

Pest Control RuneScape is a co-operative members-only combat-based minigame. Players must defend an NPC known as the Void Knight from an onslaught of monsters, while at the same time destroying the portals from which the monsters spawn. It is advisable to have some players stay at the Void Knight and some at each portal. Players board landers, which transport them to islands under invasion. To use the intermediate lander, a player must have a combat level of 70 or higher, and to use the veteran lander, a player must have a combat level of 100 or higher.

Some players attempt to recruit Pest Control RuneScape players into their clans, in the hopes that high level players will join the clan and help to win a higher percentage of games in a short amount of time. These players state the clan name to join. Although any level players can join such a clan, the clan may kick out players who are lower level than the clan wants or who do not perform well in the Pest Control RuneScape games. Other players try to get high level players to switch to a world where a clan of high level players plays Pest Control RuneScape, again in the hopes that high level players will help to win a higher percentage of games in a short amount of time. By opening the trading interface (no items need be exchanged), the advertising player can verify the trading player's combat level and, if it is high enough, will then disclose the world that the clan is playing Pest Control RuneScape on. In order to receive commendations, a player must inflict 500 points of damage before the end of the game. You can get 50 points of damage from repairing gates on any level boat. A game of Pest Control RuneScape can be played by 5 to 25 players. Multiple games may be played at once by many groups of 25 players. If the lander fills with 25 players, the game will begin automatically. Otherwise, players must wait 5 minutes for the game to begin.

Pest Control RuneScape

The landers carry a combat level requirement of 40, 70 or 100 to board. Packed worlds such as world 2 are difficult to enter, so players often avoid these worlds for activities, hence the lack of players on the lander. A lander leaves soon after it has 25 players on board. After priority level 4 has been reached, the game will simply repeat "You have been given priority level 4 over other players in joining the next game." Destroy all 4 portals before the Void Knight is killed (very commonly done). Monsters are the beasts that spawn out of portals to kill players or the Void Knight. Brawlers will never attack the Void knight. Be aware, players run by bots will usually automatically attack these lured Brawlers, and new players may need to be told not to attack. Defilers are fast, agile creatures in the Pest Control RuneScape activity. It is therefore recommended that players kill the Spinners first before attacking the portal, especially if more than one Spinner is present. Some players find amusement in exploiting the splatter's detonation. Splatters will never attack the Void knight, and if killed near it, no damage would be dealt to the Void Knight. As hordes of Shifters tend to cluster behind the Void Knight, luring a splatter to the Void Knight and killing it would cause massive damage.

A portal is not technically a monster, but it is attackable by players. Upon the destruction of a portal, the Void Knight will gain 500 life points back. Beware of spinners, as they can heal the portals, and will poison all surrounding players if the portal is destroyed before them. If a portal is destroyed then the Void Knight will receive a small amount of health. Note that the Void Knight only has a maximum of 2000 lifepoints so destroying a portal will not always heal the knight 500 lifepoints. For example, if the Void Knight has 1723 lifepoints, destroying a portal will only bring his health to 2000 lifepoints rather than 2223 lifepoints. Destroying portals is an important objective of the game. Some players specialize in attacking the portals. Some players assume attacking portals is the main is main objective. If players ignore the Void Knight and only on attacking the portals, the Void Knight could take some serious damage resulting in a loss if the NPC would die which WILL happen if left undefended. Players naturally split on tasks anyways so if the defense of the Void Knight is lacking; help out. Some players attack monsters inside the gates while others outside the gates protecting either the Void Knight or the gate itself.

Gates stop some enemies from attacking the Void Knight for however long they survive for. Winning players are rewarded with coins and commendation points, the amount of coins you receive is your combat level times 10. For example: a player with a combat level of 110 will receive 1100 coins per game won. Intermediate Boat: 3 points per game won. Veteran Boat: 4 points per game won. If a player trades in 100 points in one go, they get an extra 10% experience per point. nother form of reward a player can obtain, with commendation points, is Void Knight Equipment. The Equipment includes the following items; Three Helmets (Magic, Range and Melee), Void knight robe, Void knight top, Void knight gloves, Void knight deflector and the Void knight seal. If you board a boat while holding 500 points, a warning will be given to the player to trade the points in. If a player continues to play with 500 points, subsequent games will not award any commendation points.

Mario Kart 7 Will be Released on December 4, 2011

Prepare yourself for Mario Kart 7, it's an upcoming racing video game in the Mario Kart series that will be released on December 4, 2011. Mario Kart 7 is being developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. Similar to other games in the Mario Kart series, it incorporates various characters from the Mario games racing with one another on Mario game-themed tracks. The newest installment of the fan-favorite Mario Kart franchise brings Mushroom Kingdom racing fun into glorious 3D. For the first time, drivers explore new competitive kart possibilities, such as soaring through the skies or plunging to the depths of the sea. New courses, strategic new abilities and customizable karts bring the racing excitement to new heights.
Mario Kart 7
Here are the Mario Kart 7 features:
  • People can choose to race as one of their favorite Mushroom Kingdom characters or even as their Mii character.
  • Players can compete in local wireless matches or online over a broadband Internet connection.
  • The game supports both SpotPass and StreetPass features.
  • Players can show their own style by customizing their vehicles with accessories that give them a competitive advantage. For instance, giant tires help a kart drive off-road, while smaller tires work best on city courses.
  • The Mario Kart franchise continues to evolve. New kart abilities add to the wild fun that the games are known for. On big jumps, a kart deploys a wing to let it glide over a track shortcut.

If you want to know the Mario Kart 7 gameplay, you can read it below:

Mario Kart 7 Gameplay

While carrying on from the traditional Mario Kart gameplay, Mario Kart 7 introduces multiple new gameplay features. The game features several new playable characters, which are Wiggler, Queen Bee, Lakitu and Metal Mario, as well as the option to play as a Mii, but it has lost some characters, such as the baby characters, Toadette, Funky Kong, Bowser Jr, Dry Bones, Dry Bowser and Waluigi. Players are able to customize their vehicles, choosing from various frames which range in weight, a selection of tires which affect a kart's handling on certain surfaces and a choice of hanggliders and parachutes, which allow players to glide through the air after hitting certain ramps, collecting coins in midair or finding new routes that can only be reached in midair. Players can also drive underwater for the first time, offering various routes through each course. The game will also feature new weapons, such as the Fire Flower, the Super Leaf and Lucky 7, a roulette item. The game can also be played in an optional first-person mode which utilises gyroscopic controls. Returning features include coins from Super Mario Kart, which, instead of increasing a player's speed and defence, it is the key to winning new parts for your kart's customisation, and the trick system from Mario Kart Wii returns, which lets players earn boost by performing tricks in the air. The game will feature online multiplayer for up to eight players, and will also make use of StreetPass and Spotpass functionality, allowing players to download ghost data from other players.

My kids are huge fans of the LEGO Video game series - we already own 5 of them (Star Wars, Harry Potter 1-4 , Pirates of the Carribbean). So far, we're about 20% of the way into this game, and my kids think this is the best one. The graphics, animation, and details keep improving with each new Lego title.

What I like most about the Lego games is the number of hidden secrets which encourage the kids to explore every single item on the screen. It's a must-buy for any Harry Potter or Lego fan.

Great game having just as much fun with this game as I did the original. I did notice the problem with using the pets some times doesn't work as wanted, but im sure there will be a patch to fix any little glitches. It's not enough of a problem for me to give this game a lower rating. It's definitely a lot of fun, think I might like this one slightly more than the original. I always get worried with sequel games, especially since how much I disliked the Lego Indiana Jones 2. This game is definitely a winner. If you're a fan of the Lego games definitely consider adding it to your collection.

As others have mentioned, we also came across a nasty glitch in the 6th year of this game. During the "A Not So Merry Christmas" chapter, you can get stuck with several glitches if you're not careful. These glitches will cause your Wii to freeze and you have no choice but to unplug it and start the level over. I had to do this 4 times to get it right, and also looked for a workaround online. If you want to figure it out for yourself, don't read any further.

THE GLITCH: using the Aguamenti spell to put out the flames on the right of the screen to advance to that area. Freezes up and you have to restart your Wii and replay the level.

THE SOLUTION: When you get in there, be sure to focus the Aguamenti spell on your target when you spray the small flames and spray them one at a time. The spell will not work on the large flames. DO NOT spray the flames over to the right. Ignore those for now. That was one of the glitches. Just spray the ones in front of the outhouse. You can do this as Mollie Weasley or any of the characters, but I used her and didn't have a problem. Do Wingartium Leviosa on the pile of logs on the ground where it will uncover a place for Lupin's werewolf to dig. He will dig up the handle to put on the outhouse. Change back to Lupin and place the handle where it guides you on the outhouse. Change back to the werewolf, pull the handle. The werewolf has the strength to do this without a potion. Change back to Lupin and you will find the Spectre Specs box - put those on. Start walking back and to the right and you will come across the hidden pieces to levitate. It will build the water tank that attaches to the water gun. Use your Aguamenti spell on the tank to fill it up. Then jump up to the water gun and spray the large and small flames to the right to put them out.

There are so many Kinect games that need space to fully enjoy them. I've been disappointed with many titles because you're required to move too much in space I don't have. The Nyko Zoom ended up being a flop, and didn't correct the problem for people like me who have limited space.

So, I pre-ordered Kinect Sports Season Two and tried it out. First, I was impressed by the fact that you really don't have to flail your arms, move from side to side, and back and forth. The tennis is the best tennis on any motion controlled system, in my opinion. I especially liked that I could take a small step forward before I swung to fire a return shot or swing my arm from high to low to lob the ball. I thought this was very clever, and felt the Kinect was very accurate with this. I then played football for a couple of hours, and can't understand all the hate. The football is really fun. You squat to get ready, and stand up to have the ball snapped. There are 6 plays, and you throw the ball when one of the receivers turns green. A couple of times, I threw to an open receiver, but the Kinect sensor threw it to a different receiver who wasn't open, but this was rare. I then just had the coach to pick to expedite the play, and get back into the action. Once you throw the ball, you are the receiver and have to run in place. You can't juke, or run faster, but it didn't bother me, because I was getting a workout. The other best game in my opinion is skiing. You start out by squatting, and can move left or right by leaning with your upper body in the direction you want to go. The skiing is the best skiing I have ever played including the Wii, which is also a great skiing experience. Golf was also a lot of fun, but mostly I played the minigame, in which you can get 1, 2, or 3 points by aiming your shot. I found the minigames on all the sports to be entertaining.

First, you should know I am in my 30s. I love the new Kinect Sports - Season 2! I bought it to lose weight and workout. I have been working out using the calorie challenge mode on Kinect Sports 1 (lost 15lbs in about 2 months), but was growing bored with beating the pizza over and over again :-) What I like about Kinect Sports 2 is that the music is a lot better and the graphics are better too! I like the baseball and skiing games best. What is awesome about KS2 (for those using it as a workout)is that it posts after each game the number of calories you have burned for the round and for the session. I burn about 70 calories for playing a round of baseball, which is awesome! Baseball is two innings. You play the batter twice and the pitcher twice. You get in a lot of running when you make a "base hit", which is where the calories really add up. Skiing is a ton of fun, as you race downhill trying to pass through sets of flags and doing jumps. I burn about 30 calories in a round of skiing, which lasts two runs. Anyway, I love this game! It's even better than the first KS, which I thought was already one of the top two kinect titles (along with Dance Central). I'm so excited that they have been creating more and more titles for the Kinect - hopefully ensuring it will be around for years to come.

I got this game only yesterday night and have been playing it non stop for a few hours. Did I say I got it for 15$ only from Walmart? ;)

I must say Kinect Sports Season 1 was epic in many ways, first it has more action and being the first of its kind it grabbed more attention and raised the bar really really high and sadly the second edition do not cross that bar.

But the franchise maintains the "fun factor" which I think soul for this game. A lot of us watch these great sports on TV and wish we had such skills and Kinect Sports touches that emotion with a lot of FUN factor. Player's lack of skill is pushed by technology and it gives you that sweet illusion of being a great athlete ;) that is why I play these games.

It has less events than the actual KinectSeason 1 coz it had Track and Field which it self contained lots of events.
Now for the games

1) Baseball - Its quite fun. Honestly it took me some time to master the perfect swing but once you know the lag and trick its lot of fun. I am big fan of cricket so I liked this game very much though its not any where near to the great sport but at least it has a bat to hit the ball ;)
The play is nice, you would enjoy pitching too though fielding/catching is not much fun, it's filled with tones of prompts and it makes it very easy for a player. I wish there were settings to turn off these annoying suggestion coz once you play it for a couple of hours you would like to ramp up the game.

*** / 5

2) Dart - Oh boy, it is a lot of fun. I imagined it as a filler event but it is not. Its lot more fun than what I expected it to be. The sensor tracks slightest movement tries to make it as much real as it can. Unlike other games where you wild hand movement will not affect results e.g. boxing/base ball pitching etc... This game tracks your move carefully which gives it a close to reality touch. Its fun especially when played in group. Coz it's one of the game night/day outing sport which a lot of us might have tried in real life like Bowling in season 1.
So you have a good idea of how game would work in real life. I am pleased with the way they have done this event.

**** / 5

3) Tennis - Ohhh it is a good burner. You won't notice but if you play it for a while you will actually end up burning lots of calories. I loved it. Yes it not accurate you don't get to do the great base line jogs or can not run to the net and give a slice but its still fun. Coz the computer makes it lot more fun for you. Cross the first level and then game will be fun. You will end up having long rally nicely supported by crowd and pitching sound effect. You will really feel you are involved in the arena for a minute. I bet you will raise your hands out of pleasure / frustration a couple of times when you play with pro level. Its fun.
Though it's missing the volley, base line slogs, net plays etc... The real fun of tennis game but it's still enough engaging and will entertain you like anything.
The calories burnt number will pump you up for sure.

The trick, like Table tennis from first version is not to imagine your hand/palm as racket. Keep your hand in position as if you are holding one and see the top spine and slice shots, its fun.

****/ 5

4) Golf
The only gold I have enjoyed is the mini golf on family outing. So I do not have great knowledge about this game. But it is fun. Though Kinect the swing speed and hand movements are not taken in to consideration.
The trick is to play with the right club than controlling your swing speed. I observed it's more of club than the actually hand movement that makes difference.
I mean it does pick up speed of swing and all but not that well.
The game is OK. I did not enjoy it a lot for that fact I am not good at this game and do not have good knowledge about clubs etc... So I practice with multiple clubs before I go for the shot.
Again the very idea of you doing something without having a plastic in your hand is fun. But the game experience is just ok

**/5

5) Ski-
Fun fun fun. One more surprise. Like darts I thought this would be an OK game but its more fun than I thought it to be. Coz the movement that you use while playing these games are easy and you won't feel that your avatar is doing something which you did not want it to do. It does good justice to what you want to do in game. Not as realistic as Darts but way better than Golf. Its fun, you can control speed and directions by simple body movements.
You will feel in control of your avatar. Its fun

***/5

6) American football - I had high hopes from this one but sadly its not as much fun as it should have been.
I watched E3 event and this looked more fun while they were playing on stage but soon you will get bored.
Only 6 plays and no single player defense not rushing... its does not do justice to the game.
Like Soccer in first season, American Football killed a great game. This could be so much better and one can do a lot of cool things with game but sadly they did not. Not fun :(

* / 5

Though overall it's not bad, especially when you have spent only 15$ for this ;) but not worth its 49$ value for sure. Wait for it to get cheaper or buy a used one. This doesn't worth 49$ for sure.

And these are more of family/friends game night thing. We played like anything yesterday night and it was fun.
If you take these games too seriously then you won't enjoy it.
I agree that they are not perfect and do not do justice to the actual sport but its Kinect, made for casual, fun gaming [for now]

Amazon is selling it under 30$, its not a bad deal go get it.
I would stick give the Kinect Sports Season 1 better ratings than this.

I hope the Kinect Sports Season 2 reviews above can be your reference before you decide to buy this game. You're also can read another game reviews, such as Just Dance 3 review, Madden NFL 12 review, Dark Souls review, COD MW3 Hardened Edition reviews, and etc.

Skyrim Daedric Armor & How to Create The Legendary Daedric Armor

Skyrim Daedric armor is a cool armor! Skyrim Daedric armor is better than Dragon armor in base rating, despite needing a higher skill to make the dragon armor. When freshly crafted at 100 skill and no enhancements, Daedric armor starts at a higher base armor value for all pieces, however dragon plate surpasses Daedric armor once upgraded. One reason that many may choose Dragon over Daedric is the availability of materials.

0:00 Mace of Molag Bal - (House of Horrors)
In the city, while you walk past by some old haunted house, you will be asked to go with someone. If you complete this task and find the priest of Boethiah, you will have the artifact.

1:18 Sanguine's Rose - (Night to Remember)
There is a dude called Sam Guevenne in an Inn (Vilemyr) found in Ivarstead. He will offer you a drinking challenge. Accept it and complete the rest of the quest to earn the reward.

2:38 Dawnbreaker - (The Break of Dawn)
You will receive this quest near the statue to Merida, west to the Solitude. It's not much of a tricky job and you will manage it easily. Complete the task to earn another Artifact.

3:49 Azura's Star - (The Black Star)
You need to head to Azura's Shrine on the top of the mountain to start this quest. You will have the artifact on completion of the quest.

5:39 Wabbajack - (The Mind of Madness)
In Solitude, you will find guy named Derevin wandering around the streets. He will ask you a favor to deliver the message to his master. You will have to find his master and complete the quest.

6:44 Mehrunes' Razor - (Pieces of the Past)
You should visit the museoum in Dawnstar (the message pops up multiple times), accept the quest and then collect the three pieces of sword throughout Skyrim. Collect them all and you will have the artifact.

8:11 Savior's Hide - (ll Met by Moonlight)
In Falkreath, near the barracks, you will find a kid downstairs in the Falkreath jail. He will hand you over his cursed ring and the quest will start.
Finish the task to get the reward. Remember that if you decide not to kill, you may not earn the reward so you will have to be cold enough to collect these rewards.

9:18 Oghma Infinium -- (Discearning the Transmundane)
When you meet Septimus Sigmus during your main quest, you will be assigned a task to get the Elder Scrolls. You will start the second task (Discearning the Transmundane) during this quest where you take the imprint of the Scrolls on the Lexicon.

10:20 Spellbreaker - (The Only Cure)
Location. There is a shrine (shrine of Peryite) in the mountains between Markarth and Solitude. Don't be hasty to get there as you are going to need some skills before you can complete this quest. I will recommend that you visit it when you are almost done with your main quest part.

12:04 Skull of Corruption - (Walking Nightmare Quest)
Location. You can get this artifact by completing Walking Nightmare quest in Dawnstar. To complete the quest, talk to the priest in the Inn and kill him at the end of the quest to get this artifact.

13:05 Ebony Blade - (The Whispering Door)
Ask the inn keeper about the latest gossip until she tells you about the Jarl's strange children. Its smooth sailing from there. Just go speak to the Jarl about his kids to start the quest. I recommend pickpocketing the mage for the key.

14:32 Volendrung - (The Cursed Tribe)
This is a pretty easy quest. To find troll fat simply take it off a troll you have killed, or go to any town and buy it from a shop. For the Daedra heart, just go to the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon and there should be Daedras there to kill. Make sure to take the Volendrung from the antlers of the shrine thingy.

15:51 Ring of Namira - (The Taste of Death)
Find Verulus in Markarth and take his quest, which involves clear the Necropolis. When Eola starts talking about Cannibalism, respond positively. Clear the undead from Namira's altar. Agree to lure Verulus to the Altar. Kill Verulus and eat his flesh, Ring of Namira should appear in your inventory.

17:15 Ebony Mail - (Boethiah's calling)
Make sure to bring a companion you don't care about to be sacrificed. I took an unimportant member of the companions. In order to trap them, talk to the and tell them you need them to do something and then touch the pillar. The rest is cake, just kill people.

18:47 Masque of Clavicus Vile (A Daedra's Best Friend Quest)
Location. The guard at the entry point of Falkreath will tell you about the missing dog. After speaking with him, start the dog quest. You can follow the dog which is hectic or move yourself to Haemar's Shame which is just south to the large mountain just east to Helgen. DO NOT KILL THE DOG!!!

Alright, everyone has already talked graphics and better story. I think the graphics are slightly under what the Wii can really do, and find the distance effect annoying. Other games (Xenoblade Chronicles) do draw distance better. My point isn't to fight here, though, so don't hurt me. Let me talk about what's good in this game.

Pros-
Art Style:I like the fusion between Twilight Princess and Windwaker to make expressive, though not cartoony, watercolor-esque characters. They nail this-I really like watching the cutscenes between Zelda and Link and how expressive they are due to this style. Good idea.

Story: The cut scenes nail it, too. I haven't got this much depth from a game in awhile; very complex relationships going on here, all rendered artistically.

No Lame Fetch Quests: TP made me wrangle goats for an hour before I could play, and I really struggled with the game because of its maddeningly slow pace. SS has you, in the actual game, in around 10-15 minutes. Thank you.

Freedom: Once you are set loose, have fun. See that island over there? Fly to it and check it out for yourself. Also, the game treats you like you have been paying attention, not repeating instructions and bothering you for exploring a little bit (...Navi! Shut up!).

New Moves: Dash, Wall Run Climbing, Ledge Hanging, Skyward Slash, 1:1 Wii Motion Plus Swordplay. Awesome. By far my favorite part so far.

Cons-
Graphics: Rough edges, weird view distance blur. I think they could have done a little bit better here.

Flight Control: Sucks. Rather unresponsive and hard to aim. Flapping mechanic whomps.

All in all, two gripes. Not too shabby. Go buy it.

Update: Spent some time playing with the flight mechanic and it is more intuitive than I initially realized. Twisting the Wii mote gives you a sharper turn. Didn't know that without trying it out in depth. I still have the occasional hiccup, but nowhere near where it was when I first was trying to control the bird. I am going to leave my negative above, with the caveat "flying takes some practice."

Also, I love the atmospheric music and ambiance of each area. Thanks.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is simply the best Wii game, and possibly the the best Zelda game. It perfects motion controls, and shows the true power of the Wii. I will break up the parts.

Gameplay- The game uses Motion+ controls to make swing a sword fluent, indeed as if you are Link himself, saving Zelda and defeating mind-bending puzzles. You slash a sword, aim a slingshot, throw bombs and other things, and much, much more. Other than that, moving, dashing, looking around, and doing other things are great. Level design is great.

Story- The plot differs from other games. You live in a city in the clouds named Skyloft. There is no knowledge of the land below, and is forbidden, blocked by a cloud barrier. The only thing the residents know is flying birds named Loftwings. Link is a young man at the Knights Academy, training to become one of Skyloft's revered knights. Little does he know that he and a childhood friend named Zelda are part of something much larger-the destiny of their home, the Triforce, and the Master Sword.

Graphics- The Wii has never been the most powerful system this generation, but for this outing it is really pushed to its limits. The art is bright and colorful, perfect for the setting of the game. It blends Twilight Princess's maturity, and Wind Waker's colorful, playful graphics. Perfect for fans who are split on the art styles.

Sound- Grunts and small noises make up the dialogue, but the most surprising moment comes early in the game, when Zelda actually sings! This, I believe, is the most actual words in any Zelda game to date. It is in Japanese (I think), but let's just all say it's ancient Hylian. The soundtrack is fully orchestrated and beautiful, and accompanies the game perfectly.

Overall: 10 out of 10- PERFECT SCORE

You can not miss this game is you own a Wii. Thanks for reading.

My kids will do anything to play this game. Dishes? Sure, mom. Clean your room? Already done. Practiced the piano early this morning, mom. And vacuumed. In other words, they love it and so do I. My husband has loved every Zelda since the first and this is no exception. And they have a hard time getting me to play too, but I have to admit this game design is FUN! Flying is fun. Swinging a sword using the Wii controller (which is even sensitive to how your wrist is turned!) while targeting/shielding with the nunchuck is FUN! Even the training levels are fun. The story is fun, too. True, the Wii can't compare with HD graphics of the Xbox 360, but that doesn't mean the art is not beautifully rendered. I like that this world is light and bright and fresh-feeling. Nicer than the dark, shadowy feel of the last game.

And now for the extras. Can I say the soundtrack CD is amazing!?! I can't believe what effort went into that. Full-on orchestral soundtrack and these songs are gorgeous! No midi nothin' here. I was a little worried my son was going to be listening to beepity songs all day, but I am a music teacher and spend a fair amount of time listening to (and analyzing) classical music, and this soundtrack lacks nothing. It's may favorite part of the bundle. Other than the kids doing all their jobs before they've been asked. And their dad sneaking them out of bed to come play Zelda with him late at night. (Wait, that part is not my favorite, but it is theirs.) The gold controller is also a pretty cool little bonus for Zelda fans.

Anyway, if you're wondering if this is the one Wii game to get your family for Christmas, the answer is a resounding yes! And get the bundle - you won't regret it.

I hope Skyward Sword Bundle reviews above can be helpful for you. Anyway, I also recommend you to read another articles, such as the Legend of Zelda Rap by Smosh, the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword walkthrough, and information and tutorial about Skyward Sword Shield.

The Legend of Zelda Rap by Smosh Lyrics

The Legend of Zelda Rap From Smosh

Yeah my name is Link, man, I'm more well known than Lil Wayne
Oh you thought my name was Zelda? THAT'S A F**KING GIRL'S NAME!
I've saved the world like fifteen times and and saved the princess from demise
And I do it all alone, with no help and no advice

"Hey, Look, Listen" Hey, look, listen, you f**king annoying fairy
I'd rather be forced to listen to constant Katy Perry
I think it's time I got some recognition, don't you think?
Legend of Zelda? SCREW THAT! Legend of LINK.
----------
'Cause he's the L to the I to the N to the K
Wears tights every day, don't give a damn what you say
Got bigger balls than even Evel Knievel
And he ain't gonna stop 'til the world is free of evil
----------
I'll break all your pots and I best not hear your bitchin'
I've got the Triforce of courage, BITCH! So you better listen (that's right)
I'm called bushwhacker and my bank account's maxed out
Got 999 rupees and my leather wallet's packed now

Can't back down, can't slack now, the world needs me to attack now
Yet I'm forced to pay out the ass for these bombs in Castle Town
Just give me some heart containers and let me spit on my ocarina
So I can kick that dumbass Ganon all the way to Argentina
----------
'Cause he's the L to the I to the N to the K
Wears tights every day, don't give a damn what you say
Got bigger balls than even Evel Knievel
And he ain't gonna stop 'til the world is free of evil
----------
Yo, you low-life elf, need a ride up to the North Pole?
Santa's got a thing for elfs and he's getting' his marriage annulled.
You really think saving the princess will convince me you're straight? (Ha-ha!)
The "Uggs and Skirt" fad is so 2008!

Oh snap, it's Ganondorf tryin' to jock on my style
Batman's cape, Lincoln's beard, were you dressed by a child?
You're a ginger with no soul and you look like a f**king troll
Isn't kidnapping helpless girls getting a little bit old?

You think Zelda's stupid enough to get kidnapped so often?
She runs off to my castle, into my room and begs to get locked in.
Yeah, she's sick of your little Deku nuts and your girly fairy face
L-I-N-K? More like L-I-N-Gay.

Man, you should've been aborted, just like the Jersey Shore
It's a damn lie you told about Zelda 'cause she loves my master sword
It's a shame your whole life's been a waste trying to rule Hyrule
'cause today will be the day known as "The day you got schooled"
----------
'Cause he's the L to the I to the N to the K
Wears tights every day, don't give a damn what you say
Got bigger balls than even Evel Knievel
And he ain't gon' stop 'til the world is free of evil

The game is very much like the ride at WDW. The carnival-style activities are somewhat repetitive, but reasonable.

The menu system is horrible. There are no labels for the menu options and no clues that the B button is the way to go back. If you finally navigate your way through, the activities are entertaining.

The 3D is lack-luster and the game is finished very quickly.

Though my young children find the activities challenging and are entertained by their favorite characters, any child with video game skills will find this boring quite quickly.

It's is worth renting for the weekend or buying second-hand.

I am a huge fan of all things Disney, and usually greatly enjoy there video games. However, this game grew old on me very quickly. The game concept is that of the ride in Disney, which is shooting out targets. Compared to the ride, the scenes are the same, a Buzz Lightyear space ranger level, Bo's balloon pop, Hamm and Rex's animal farm, the Green Army men's plate breaking, and Woody's Roundup shooting gallery. There are a few seperate levels for each scene, most of which are the basic point and shoot, though there are goals each level, some of which can be tricky to get, so there is some challenge to them. There are also a few mini games each level, such as a watch the cup - find the hidden coin game with Bo and a table tilt game with the Green Army Men.

The game does have a few cons. The biggest being that there is no way to save anything during story mode, though whatever games you complete all the onjectives for and get unlocked, do remain unlocked if you shut down the Wii without saving. The game also only took about an hour for me to play through the complete story mode, which is much too short in my opinion, though you are rewarded tickets based on your score, so you'll be playing story mode several times to unlock all the free play content.

The game is fun for a few hours, and free play is fun for a group, but it can, and does, get boring very quickly.

Reviewed by Wendy E. Lindberg

I bought this for my 4 year old. We had just been to Disneyland and Toy Story Mania was his favorite ride. The game is not just like the ride but very similar. Once you get to free play which is easy to do it is a lot more fun then when you first start playing. I have a 13 year old a 10 year old and a 7 year old and they all love it. I love to play it with my 4 year old.
